Flip your PS4 upside down to read it. Should start with an M. Alternatively, it will be on the box it came in. To register a PS4 online, it asks for a 17 digit serial number. However, I've looked at the back of my PS4 slim and there is no sign of any serial number. I noticed most of the usual web stores I check here in Sweden still have their old listings for the controller, so it's impossible at a first glance to see if it's the new controller or not. So, on to my questions: - How can you discern the new PS4 'Pro' controllers from the regular ones (packaging, product number on the box etc.)?
I was surprised to find out Vita doesn't let you look up serial number under setting. I did a little digging on google and found out you can view the number on your PC.
Once you plug in your Vita to PC, wait until the PlayStation(R)Vita icon pops up under 'Devices and Drives'. Right click on the icon and select 'Properties'. It will display your serial number.
If it doesn't work, you might need to install content management assistant from sony first. I don't know if it made a difference as I already had it installed on my computer already.
